Other than this, he has performed more than 7000 ureteroscopic procedures for ureteric stones and other conditions.
He holds an expertise in procedures like prostate laser surgery, open prostatectomy, TUIP, TURP, cystoscopy, Lithotripsy, kidney stone treatment, ureteroscopy, etc.
Dr. Shivashankar completed his MBBS from University of Mysore in 1987 and MS from Stanley Medical College in 1983.
He also continued to do Mch in Urology from Madras Medical College Chennai in 1986.
He is a member of Karnataka Medical Council.
